Trisha Low & Lily Mazzarrella

Trisha Low is committed to wearing a shock collar because she has so many feelings. She is the author of THE COMPLEAT PURGE (Kenning Editions, 2013). Remote controls are available at Gauss PDF, Against Expression: An Anthology of Conceptual Writing, TROLL THREAD and others. She lives in New York City. Lily Mazzarella was born in Rome, Italy and raised in the woods, malls, and basements of suburban New Jersey. She received her BA in English from Wesleyan University in 1995, and studied poetry in various workshop settings in New York City from 1996-2000.  From 2001-2004 she was co-editor of Fort Necessity, an annual poetry journal which published the work of Eileen Myles, Jennie Portnof, Maggie Nelson, and Suzanne Snider, among others. In 2006 she received her Masters of Science in Herbal Medicine from Tai Sophia Institute. Lily now resides in west Sonoma County and is core faculty at the California School of Herbal Studies. She owns an herbal pharmacy, Farmacopia, and maintains her clinical practice there. Her most recent peer-reviewed publication is “Modulation of Nitric Oxide by Medicinal Herbs.” When her right arm is working well enough, she makes encaustic art, necklaces and totems, and writes poems. Most of her writing has been read by 0-3 other people, but that has never stopped her. Last year she completed her first book of poems, Elestials.
