For this prompt I draw upon Brendan Lorber’s “21 Perry” (from The Address Book) and on Gregory Corso’ “Birthplace Revisited;” both poems are homages to an intimate history of a specific place essential to the poet. That emotion connection between finished and unfinished business makes these poems so resonant and vibrant. Write a poem dedicated to a site that is important to you and/or write an homage to your childhood home.
