Imogen Binnie

A white trans woman with tattooed arms sits in a sunny, green back yard with a sleeping baby face peeking out of a sling on her chest. She is smiling but avoiding eye contact with the camera by looking at a phone in her hand. At least one side of her head is buzzed; the rest of her hair is brunette and chin length.

Imogen Binnie is the author of the novel Nevada. She wrote a column for Maximum Rocknroll magazine in its last decade, as well as her own zines The Fact That It’s Funny Doesn’t Make it a Joke and Stereotype Threat. She’s written for television and movies, created the podcast Imogen Watches Classic Films, and played in the enormously popular and influential bands The Patriot Act, Angela Chase, and Correspondences.
