Bianca Rae Messinger is a poet and translator living in Buffalo, NY, where she also works as an interpreter and instructor. She is the author of pleasureis amiracle (Nightboat, 2025) and the chapbook “parallel bars” (Center for Book Arts, 2021). She has published translations of works by mauricio gatti/comunidad del sur, Juana Isola, Nestor Perlongher, and others. Her translations have been published by the Berlin Biennale, Monster House Press, floor press, among others. With poet Toby Altman she edits What Happens, a journal of poets theater, and was a guest editor of the Poetry Project Newsletter from 2022-2024. She is currently working on a translation of Argentine writer and artist Fernanda Laguna with Alexis Almeida, as well as the collected letters of Nestor Perlongher and Osvaldo Baigorria.
