Claire Laurence is an architect and multimedia artist, focusing on architecture, experiential sculptures, poetry and film. Her most recent work is an audio project, entitled ‘Haunted by Beauty’, exploring the nonlinear notion of time, politics of desire and the idea of memory as a palimpsest, constantly being altered while bearing visible traces of its earlier form. The petal sculptures she designed for Snohetta at the Blanton Museum of Art in Austin opened to the public in May 2023, as a permanent outdoor art installation.
