Daniel Owen’s translations of poems by Afrizal Malna won Asymptote Journal’s 2019 Close Approximations Translation Contest. He is the author of the poetry books Restaurant Samsara (Furniture Press, 2018) and Toot Sweet (United Artists Books, 2015). He is a member of the Ugly Duckling Presse editorial collective. He lives in Yogyakarta.
