The Poetry Project

David Lindsay

David Lindsay is a poet, visual artist, independent curator and writer currently residing in New York. His multidisciplinary practice explores the intersection of the human body and written language, examining language as a visceral, embodied experience. A central focus is the relationship between furniture and the alphabet, questioning the boundaries between the textual, material, sculptural, and linguistic. He is the author of multiple books, most notably Pink and Tourmaline and Canton Rose (2026), A visual title but if we must pronounce it, Black Heron (2022) and A few Poems (Daisy Chain) (2017). Interested in where the body and language meet, David’s past collaborators in poetry include Artist Space, Segue Foundation, and anonymous gallery. Most recently David is curator and cofounder of Satyrdat Nite Live, a reading series in downtown NYC. His work has been exhibited internationally, at anonymous gallery (New York, NY) and Phillip Zollinger (Zurich, Switzerland, April 2024). He completed a Masters in Fine Arts at Bard College in 2025.
