Jack Waters

At Foley Square ending the Reclaim Pride march Jack is in the left foreground wearing sunglasses and a straw pork pie style hat with a button saying "Cease Fire Now" in the middle of the front wall of the crown. His black t-shirt reads in simple white block letters: "If I Look It I Probably Am!" Peter is on the right wearing black framed eyeglasses. Peter's shirt is also black but more colorful with a fantasmagorical image of a blurry creature that could be a tiger or a dragon. They are embracing so that their joining arms are concealed behind each other's back while each free arm is outstretched to the side, Jack's in a enquiring gesture of delighted surprise, Peter's in charmed welcoming. They exude an asymmetrical balance signaling the impulse to embrace of the viewer. Jack's mouth is softly agape, Peter has a toothy, but relaxed smile. In the background Queers attend the speakers in a curved semi-circle that imitates J&P's stance. The court buildings are sunlit. The signage is illegible from this distance. The white stone neoclassical municipal structures are contrasted by a modernist abstract black steel sculpture whose veriticaly upward rise resembles a giant finger that softly centers the composition dividing the architectural background as it splits J&P in the foreground. Jack is black and Peter is white.

Jack Waters has made trouble with Peter Cramer since the beginning of time. Together they emit light and noise. More often than not objects are involved. They perform with the Queer Skinned noise band NYOBS. They host the community garden, Le Petit Versailles.
