Maryam Ivette Parhizkar is a poet who is the author of three chapbooks, most recently Somewhere Else the Sun is Falling into Someone’s Eyes (Belladonna, 2019). She is a CantoMundo Fellow and a member of the U.S. Central American collective Tierra Narrative. As She has represented TN as a guest editor of translation at FENCE* magazine and a curatorial fellow at The Poetry Project, where she co-developed transnational and multilingual programming bringing together writers from the Central American diaspora and isthmus.
