One day when Ninin was writing a script for a TV commercial at her corporate office, she imagined how wonderful it would be to lie on a hospital bed with 1000mg paracetamol drip flowing straight into her veins. That was the moment she decided to leave the advertising industry. She got her master’s in Gender and Cultural Studies at the University of Sydney in 2019 and now works as a researcher for the Indonesian Art Coalition. She is the author of the poetry book Rusunothing (GPU, 2019). It was nominated for the Kusala Sastra Khatulistiwa award in 2020.
