Tan Paylor, known as Y/X, is a writer from DeKalb County, GA. She began taking poetry seriously in early 2019 when she first started slamming competitively. Her work discusses femininity, non conformist ideologies, and coping with feelings of inadequacy and self-sabotage. She hopes that her work can add to the conversation on what it means to be a Black woman in today’s world and create a space of vulnerability for other Black women trying to dissect and understand their identity.
