The following poems are by Palestinian women with Israeli citizenship, all of whom are current students or recent graduates of Israeli universities. Self-identifying as ’48 Palestinians, these writers live in a complex liminal space; they are marginalized within Israeli society yet also forcibly separated from Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza. They publish here under pseudonyms to avoid the repercussions that increasingly impact those who engage in pro-Palestinian expression in Israel and around the world.
