I Am Angry at a Force I Cannot See: Based on the Poetry of Michael Gottlieb

Four corners of dailiness, remote from one another for indeterminate time — I Am Angry at a Force I Cannot See: Based on the Poetry of Michael Gottlieb presents simultaneous domestic scenes of devotion, fixation, practice, and search, in a performance conceptualized and directed by Chana Porter, created from Michael Gottlieb's writing — collaged from a breadth of media and publication sources and other found language relating to momentous moments in New York's recent history — we find shifting and persistent questions of distance, relation, solitude, stasis, and change.

The Poetry Project gratefully acknowledges support for this performance from The Axe-Houghton Foundation.

This in-person event will also be livestreamed via The Poetry Project's Youtube.
