Alexis Almeida is the author of I Have Never Been Able to Sing (Ugly Duckling Presse, 2018) and Things I Have Made a Fiction (Oversound, forthcoming). She recently worked on a co-translation of Carlos Soto Román's 11 and her translation of Roberta Iannamico’s Many Poems is forthcoming from The Song Cave. She teaches at the Bard Microcollege at the Brooklyn Public Library and Columbia's School of Narrative Medicine, and edits 18 Owls Press. She lives in Brooklyn.
