Edgar García is a poet and scholar of the hemispheric Americas. He is the author of Skins of Columbus: A Dream Ethnography (Fence Books, 2019) and Signs of the Americas: A Poetics of Pictography, Hieroglyphs, and Khipu (University of Chicago Press, 2020). He is currently working on books about the Popol Vuh; the Cantares Mexicanos; risk analysis (especially divination); and Atlantis. He also regularly collaborates with visual artists. He teaches in the departments of English and Creative Writing at the University of Chicago.

Edgar García es un poeta y estudioso de las Américas hemisféricas. Es autor de Skins of Columbus: A Dream Ethnography (Fence Books, 2019) y Signs of the Americas: A Poetics of Pictography, Hieroglyphs, and Khipu (University of Chicago Press, 2020). Actualmente está trabajando en libros sobre el Popol Vuh; los Cantares Mexicanos; análisis de riesgo (especialmente adivinación); y Atlantis. También colabora habitualmente con artistas visuales. Enseña en los departamentos de Inglés y Escritura Creativa de la Universidad de Chicago.
