The Poetry Project

I may have always wanted to write, at least to figure out what was going through my head that I never had time to remember. In college I found it a relief to draw, to learn to draw and I followed that metier for decades without being able to fall back on it for a living. Over a long period of time I would come to the Poetry Project for readings. A few months before the Covid epidemic, I signed up for one of the Project's workshops and found it made a difference, that it had given me the impetus to care about language per se, about how you needed to put things, about stopping and recalling what you were going through. That of course is not the whole story; but is it ever?
