Stacy Amma Osei-Kuffour

Stacy Osei-Kuffour, born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, is a BFA graduate from NYU (major: Drama) and an MFA graduate from Hunter College (major: Playwriting). Previous plays include: Dirty Blood, reading at Rattlestick Theater. Animals, Irv Zarkower Award winner through Hunter College, readings: Lark Development Center, Blank Theatre, IAMA Theatre, upcoming reading at Williamstown Theater Festival directed by Whitney White. The Pearl and The Black Sea, Honorable Mention in The Kilroy’s 2015 The List. Hang Man, The Kilroy’s 2017 The List,  reading at The New Group through Thomas Bradshaw’s Play Readings for playwrights of color and a production at The Gift Theatre in Chicago. Stacy also took part EST in LA, Youngblood, MacDowell Colony Fellowship, Nashville Repertory Theatre’s Ingram Play Lab alongside Christopher Durang, Humantias PLAY LA Workshop, and MADLAB. Besides this, Stacy is also a TV writer. Previous TV work includes Happy! (SYFY), PEN15 (Hulu), WATCHMEN (HBO), The Hunt (Amazon), The Power (Amazon), based on the acclaimed novel by Naomi Alderman, Phoebe Waller Bridge's RUN (HBO) and the second season of Morning Show (Apple). Stacy’s goal as an artist is to bring untold stories to the stage and screen, stories that challenge our political, societal, and stereotypical views of the Black experience.
