Two

Antonio Vargas-Nieto

ode

you swear
your cramps

are suntide
you shed a tear

in a sacred
saint idol way

left open overnight
my spiral

notebook spills
into sky

it’s characters
parallel star formations

from above flat
slinky dimensionality

I feel stuck
in a time warp

making room
deleting pictures

from 2018
making room

for pictures
in 2028

deleting
oracles

embers
echos

jaguar eating a man

constance of constellation
consonant
sonata
sonorous broken reverse
melody crossing sonora
chest cavity deep cenote
in my blood
moving thru the thick of it
moving thru air like water
gelatinous opacity
gunking my fingers
1783 theorems
still oceanic gravity
churn peruvian coffee
distill glyph philosophy
