Laura Henriksen and Brandon Brown write poetry with sentences, a form suited to capturing the meanderings of thought and its insights into ambient culture, from feminist porn to heart-wrenching pop songs. Endlessly surprising and philosophically astute, their poetry negotiates aloud the self in tension with the world, a dialectic at the core of their writing. Their trust in language is entirely devoted; through it they learn (and teach us) what it means to know better and to love more, with equal measures of faith and uncertainty.
