Under the disaggregating heat of late capitalism, life devolves at varying speeds. Adjuncts toil within the closed walls of crowded classrooms while part-time office workers drift into daydream behind open cubicles. Ariel Yelen and Ryan Eckes are no haters, just poets finding beauty in the hum of a revolving microwave. “The future is absent” but “the poems won’t go away” (Eckes).
