The Brains of the Living: Poetry Project's 7th Annual Halloween Party

Marx in the Eighteenth Brumaire wrote that the “tradition of all dead generations weighs like a nightmare on the brains of the living.” But are communiqués between the living and the dead only nightmares? In this 7th annual Halloween party at the Poetry Project, four performers channel otherworldly language, conduct seances with dead labor, and repurpose words in new, eerie forms. With performances by Amy De’Ath, Mayada Ibrahim, Untitled Queen, and Mary Wang.

We hope you can join us at 7:30pm for a reception before the event!

This event will also be livestreamed for free on The Poetry Project's YouTube channel.
