in this 5-week workshop, we’ll explore ekphrastic exemplars old & new, then consider ways we might approach visual art, film, photography & music as muse. consider this workshop a safe space to experiment with new sources of inspiration. we’ll answer questions like: how can i be in conversation with art? how can i translate visual modes into linguistic ones? how can i practice active listening & transcription of source materials? how can we abstract & interact with art in ways that honor our voice & vision?
