S. Erin Batiste and Courtney Faye Taylor are two poets focused unfailingly on the material conditions and lived and living experiences of Black women in the United States. Across a range of styles, genres, and forms, Batiste and Taylor weave personal and cultural histories towards memories of the future reimagined, reclaimed, and transformed.
