Spring 2025 Volunteer and Intern Potluck and Reading

This interdisciplinary workshop offers exciting grounds for collage, remixing, and experimentation, with a particular focus on the intersection of personal and collective archives. Together, we will explore how memory shapes the way we make sense of experience by exploring what’s left behind—immaterial or material traces sedimented in public and private spaces. Participants will engage with texts by writer-performers, musicians, filmmakers, and installation artists, including: Julie Ezelle Patton, Kasumi, Moor Mother, Mendi + Keith Obadike, LaTasha N. Nevada Diggs, Soundwalk Collective, Björk, Douglas Kearney, and Jamila Woods. Drawing from audio, video, and found language, they will be encouraged to play, assemble, and experiment across media. While this workshop invites participants to explore freely sourced audio and video editing software, it is not a requirement for participation.
