Like Dreamers Do — 10-Session Workshop with Zoe Tuck
Walking around the edge of the well, looking down, and stretching skyward. The conditions of depth change, and the elements. By what rituals? Devotion and demolition. Passionate weather fills the place where monuments were. Lucía Hinojosa Gaxiola and Guadalupe Maravilla sing in their work with honor for those spheres where the human and environmental dissolve, toward ancient and future kinds of knowing. We’ll be celebrating the publication of Hinojosa Gaxiola’s The Telaraña Circuit (Tender Buttons, 2023) as part of this event, which includes separate performances from these two thrilling artists, as well as a special collaboration.
