Tongo Eisen-Martin + Margaret Randall

The extraordinary life of Margaret Randall, as she turns 90, reflects, in poetry and in struggle, the many turns and upheavals of the late 20th century. Fiercely embedded in social movements and committed to hope, Randall has long been a staunch advocate for women as the vanguard of both imagination and political organizing. She returns to The Poetry Project, this time joined by Tongo Eisen-Martin. Poets of revolutionary consciousness, they understand words as tools, means, and materials for opening the heart and uncovering, amid fascism’s tightening grip, new articulations of our collective desires.

This event will also be livestreamed for free on The Poetry Project's YouTube channel.
